The objective of the programme:

The students are to acquire the necessary skills for iconography;
They are to gain the proper theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the execution of samples of iconography.
All the aspects which will equip the students with maximum of knowledge are considered in the programme.

The graduates will be prepared to:

Cognize theological knowledge and the foundations of Iconography;

Organize in a system the practical and theoretical experience gained in the process of doing the course;

Execute simple samples of iconography which will be based on theoretical knowledge, of the chemical and technological features of materials and skills of their practical application;

 Use details of Georgian iconography while executing simple samples of iconography;

 Select contemporary materials and technology so that they be consistent with the old technic of iconography;

At the starting stage of work on, to correctly select samples for painting icon;

Collecting written and photo-video material on the examples of iconography – their analysis and use in practice;

Executing sketches for the examples of iconography and their preparation for presentations by using modern technologies and methods;

Organizing personal electronic archive and library;

In order to improve their professional qualification, skills and habits, deepen the knowledge working in a day to day schedule;

Participate in conferences, championships, exhibitions and seminars.
