The Quality Assurance
Office of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary is the body of
management in TTAS.
The main objective of the service
is to improve the quality of teaching and research work by
developing and implementing the quality assurance system.
The main functions and
responsibilities of the department include: a systematic evaluation
of the current educational and research activities, development and
updating of quality assurance procedures; evaluation of academic
programmes and development of relevant recommendations; promotion
of the mobility of the academic staff and students, establishment
and implementation of the credit transfer system; monitoring and
implementation of the methods of internal and external evaluation
of the quality of educational process; assistance in the
development and implementation of quality management of modern
teaching methods and principles; maintenance of registry of higher
educational institutions, programmes, students and staff, in
accordance with the Regulations.
The service is guided by its
Charter, the TTAS Regulations, internal legal acts, the “Law of
Georgia on Higher Education” and the standards and guidelines for
ensuring the quality of the European Higher Education Area.
The Office is responsible for the
tasks and functions assigned to it and is accountable to the Rector
of TTAS.
