On October 12, Tamar Mirtskhulava, a psychologist and graduate of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, delivered a public lecture at this institution. The speaker discussed Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development, which a person goes through from birth to old age. She discussed the importance of successfully navigating age-related crises for healthy personality development, explaining what deviant behaviour is, what causes it, and why individuals may develop a tendency towards such behaviour.
The psychologist also discussed issues such as the purpose of punishing offenders, the reasons behind criminal behavior, and their reintegration into society.
At the end of the lecture, the speaker invited the audience to participate in an interactive test, which proved to be both enjoyable and engaging for the students.
