On March 11 of this year, a public lecture was held at the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary on the topic: “The Significance of the Services of the Great Lent Period in the Context of the Divine Providence of Human Salvation.”
The speaker was Archpriest Bidzina Gunia – a lecturer at the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, an academician of the Gelati Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Theology, Philology, and professor.
During the lecture, Father Bidzina discussed several issues of essential importance related to the Divine Providence of human salvation, including: the Orthodox understanding of the meaning of life, the significance of communal and personal prayer, the Orthodox concept of modeling time and space, the spiritual significance of liturgical actions, the theological analysis of texts on hymnody, and the expected outcomes for the faithful participating in the liturgy.
The lecture was attended by students, instructors and professors of the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary.
