On December 9, at the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, a poetry evening dedicated to the 134th anniversary of Galaktion Tabidze’s birth was held. The event was led by Dr. Tamar Natsubidze, our institution’s lecturer in World Literature.
Poems by Galaktioni were recited by the following students of the Academy, the Seminary, and the Faculties of Christian Psychology and Christian Art Theory and History: Monk Gabriel (Kopadze), Miranda Chiaberashvili, Nikoloz Chumburidze, Ana Gobejishvili, Aleko Megrelishvili, Gvantsa Javashvili, and Fotine Gunia.
The event took place against a backdrop of documentary footage depicting the poet’s life. The evening concluded with a musical performance.
After the event, the students hosted the guests with a traditional meal.
