The Department of Icon Painting, and Restoration of Easel and Monumental Icon Painting works on developing the core content of the discipline, providing students with fundamental theoretical knowledge in both theology and icon painting, which in turn includes the restoration of easel and monumental icons. The department offers students the opportunity to study modern technologies in icon painting restoration and apply them in practice. In general, students’ participation in the restoration of wall-paintings is one of the important components of the educational program.
