The Dissertation Committee of Theology of Tbilisi Theological
Academy and Seminary, working under the aegis of the Apostolic
Orthodox Church of Georgia, is the body which comprises professors
holding PhD. Its objective is the consideration of dissertation
theses and awarding of PhD to doctorate students.
The Chairman of the Dissertation Committee is His Holiness and
Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop
of Mtskheta and Tbilisi and Metropolitan of Tskhum-Apkhazeti
