On November 9, 2023, a memorandum
of cooperation was signed between Tbilisi Theological Academy and
Seminary and Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature. The
memorandum was signed by the Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy
and Seminary, Doctor of Theology, Philology and Political Sciences,
Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze and Director of the TSU Shota
Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, Doctor of Philology,
Professor Irma Ratiani.
The ceremony of signing was
attended by the representatives of TTAS and the Institute of
Literature.
The objective of the memorandum
is cooperation between the parties in the fields of science,
culture, education and research, also, in the organization of joint
projects, exhibitions and conferences. After the official part of
the event, Professor Irma Ratiani gave a lecture to the students
and professors of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary. She
spoke, in detail and very interestingly, about the past, present
and future perspectives of the Institute of Literature and about
the importance of mutual cooperation between these two institutions
- TTAS and the Institute of Literature. After the lecture, a
conversation in the question-and-answer format took
place.
The following representatives of
Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature participated in
the conversation - Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Ivane
Amirkhanashvili, the Academic Secretary of the institute, Doctor of
Philology Miranda Tkeshelashvili and the Research Assistant of the
Institute of Literature Lili Metreveli.
The Head of the Department of
Georgian Language and Literature of TTAS, Doctor of Philology,
Professor Lela Khachidze thanked the guests for their visit and an
interesting conversation and presented them with books published by
the TTAS Publishing Office.
On her part, Professor Irma
Ratiani presented the Department of Georgian Language and
Literature with several important collections published by the
Institute in the recent years. The event was interesting and
productive for everyone.
