The Rector of Tbilisi Theological
Academy and Seminary, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze cordially
congratulates the Rector of Technical University of Georgia,
Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, Mr.
David Gurgenidze, on his 60th birthday. The Academician, Professor
and Honorary Constructor of Georgia David Gurgenidze has been the
Rector of Technical University of Georgia since 2020. Like the
previous rectors, with the greatest responsibility and highest
qualification, he honorably continues the hundred-year legacy of
the university’s educational, scientific and research
activities.
With the support and
encouragement extended by Mr. David Gurgenidze, a Scientific and
educational Center of Theology is successfully functioning at the
Technical University. The aforementioned center was founded with
the blessing of the Catholicos- Patriarch of All Georgia, His
Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II and through the direction of the
former Rector of the Technical University of Georgia,
Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia,
Academician Ramaz Khurodze. Today, it is supervised by His Eminence
Anania (Japaridze) of Manglisi.
It should be noted that in 2022,
during the rectorship of Mr. David Gurgenidze, His Holiness and
Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, awarded the
Technical University of Georgia with the highest award of the
Orthodox Church of Georgia - the Gold Order of Saint George, for
its outstanding contribution to the development of education and
science and the revival of the country.
The Rector of Tbilisi Theological
Academy and Seminary, Giorgi Zviadadze congratulates Mr. David on
his birthday with deep respect and wishes him spiritual fortitude
and strength, fruitful work in scientific and academic fields and a
long life for the well-fare of the nation and the country.
