The Youth Forum for “Sustainable Development and European Integration”

On March 31, Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary hosted a forum organized by “Green Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth – to Georgia”. The “Youth Forum for Sustainable Development and European Integration” is being held throughout Georgia. Its objective is to raise awareness of young people, involve them in the process of making important decisions for the country, present and reflect innovative visions, including the goals of UN Sustainable Development and issues of European integration of Georgia. The forum is supported by the President of Georgia, the Ministry of Protection of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in Georgia.
 It should be noted that a memorandum of cooperation between Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary and “Georgian Green Movement - Friends of the Earth – to Georgia” was signed within the framework of the forum. The memorandum was signed by the Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze and the Chairperson of “Georgian Green Movement - Friends of the Earth – Georgia”, Nino Chkhobadze.
The administrative and academic staff of TTAS and students attended the meeting. In the process of preparing the speeches presented at the forum and conducting the discussion, the students were given special support and help by the Professor of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Archpriest Bidzina Gunia, the Head of the Department of Christian Psychology, Doctor of Psychology Irma Khurtsia and the Doctor of Architecture, Professor Medea Melqadze. The discussion took place in a framework of question-and-answer and aroused great interest among the audience. At the end of the meeting, the Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze thanked the guests, students, professors and teachers participating in the forum.
Archpriest Besarion Tsintsadze, Vice-Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary for the Process of Education and Administrative Affairs, presented commemorative gifts to the guests and wished them success.

1. “The Identity and Essence of a Human Being”

Presenter - Deacon David Papiashvili (a first-year student of the Academy).

1. Deacon Romanoz Gugunashvili (a first-year student of the Academy);
2. Lika Zhvania (a first-year student of the Faculty of Christian Psychology).
II. “A Healthy Life and Well-being”
Supervisor of the theme - Irma Khurtsia, Doctor of Psychology;
Speakers:
1. Jasmin Lomidze (a second-year student of the Faculty of Christian Psychology);
2. Giorgi Gegidze (a second-year student of the Faculty of Christian Psychology);
3. Tamar Matiashvili (a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Christian psychology).
III. “Sustainable, Green Architecture - Ecological Revitalization and Social Programs”
Supervisor of the theme - Medea Melkadze, Doctor of Architecture, Full Professor;
Presenter - Tamar Potskhverashvili, Assistant of the Dean of the Department of Iconography.
Speakers:
1. Kesane Vezden (a third-year student of the Faculty of Architecture);
2. Nino Grigalashvili (a third-year student of the Faculty of Architecture);
3. Roman Gagnidze (a third-year student of the Faculty of Architecture);
