The Scientific
Council reviewed the results of the entrance examinations. It was
noted that the applicants successfully passed the
examinations.
Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze, informed the members of the
Scientific Council about the decision to separate the study of the
Canonical Law from the Department of Church history, Canonical law
and Asceticism to form an independent department as the Department
of Canonical Law. He noted that, the establishment of this
department will promote the development of the study of this branch
of Theology at Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary in the
future. The Scientific Council approved the aforementioned
decision. It was noted that a warm environment conducive for
intensive work is created at Tbilisi Theological Academy and
Seminary, and also the defense of scientific dissertations is
carried out on a high level. Special attention is paid to the
order, timely commencement of lectures and delivery of lectures on
a high academic level.
