Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary is hosting Priest Bogdan-Vladut Brynza. Priest Bogdan-Vladut Brynza is professor of the Faculty of Theology, in Alexander Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. The visit is taking place within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange program.
Priest Bogdan-Vladut has met with Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze, Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Doctor of Theology, Philology and Political Sciences. The Rector of the Academy spoke about the historical, cultural and scientific ties between Georgia and Romania and expressed deep respect for the Holy Orthodox Church of Romania, the Patriarch of All Romania, His Beatitude Daniel, and the Romanian people.
At the meeting, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze also spoke about the great contribution of the Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bitchvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazeti, Ilia II to the spiritual revival of the Georgian nation and the development of theological education in Georgia. He emphasized His Holiness and Beatitude’s great international authority and noted that Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, the place where faith and knowledge merge, was founded by the Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector for the academic field, the Vice-Rector for the administrative field and the Vice-Rector for the scientific field, heads of the departments, deans, other members of the administration, heads of various services, professors and teachers.
After the meeting, Priest Bogdan-Vladut Brynza gave a lecture to the students of the Academy on the topic – “The Holy Sacrifice and the Transformation of Man According to Saint Maximus the Confessor.”
It is noteworthy that in 2023, Memorandum was signed between Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary and Alexander Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. Within the framework of the Memorandum, scientific and theological cooperation between the two higher educational institutions began.
The working visit of Doctor of Theology, Priest Bogdan-Vladut Brynza to Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary will continue until May 2.
